Yes. Core features are free forever for indie musicians.

I built this to solve my own band’s problems. If it helps yours too, that’s a win. I accept donations on Ko-fi to keep servers running and coffee flowing.

Who’s behind this?

Just me — a solo developer who plays in cover bands.

My company, Sounding Doubts (based in Portugal), handles the legal side. But the code, design, and vision? All one person.

I’ve been in cover bands for 10 years. I know the pain points because I lived them.

Does it work offline?

Yes. FlowGroove caches your setlists locally.

No internet at the venue? No problem. Changes sync when you’re back online. Perfect for basement rehears and outdoor gigs.

How offline mode works:

  1. Your setlists are cached on your device
  2. You can view and edit them offline
  3. Changes sync automatically when you reconnect
  4. No data loss, ever

Features

How fast is the sync?

Under 500ms.

Change a song on your phone, it updates on the band’s tablets before you finish strumming the first chord. Tested on 3G, WiFi, and everything in between.

Can I use it for my professional band?

Absolutely. FlowGroove works for any band — indie, semi-pro, or full-time.

The free tier covers most use cases. Power users can support development on Ko-fi for advanced features.

What devices does it work on?

FlowGroove works on:

  • Web browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox)
  • Android phones & tablets
  • iOS (coming soon — working on Developer License)
  • Any device with a modern browser

How does auto BPM & key detection work?

Type a song name → get BPM and key automatically.

We integrate with music databases to fetch metadata. If the API is unavailable, you can always enter data manually. No blocking errors, ever.

What data do you collect?

Only what’s necessary to make the app work:

  • Account info (email, name)
  • Your setlists and songs
  • Usage analytics (anonymous, via GA4)

I don’t sell data. I don’t track you across the web. Privacy policy is here.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Your setlists are backed by Firebase (Google’s cloud platform).

  • Encrypted in transit (HTTPS)
  • Encrypted at rest
  • Daily backups
  • 99.9% uptime
